Obsessions: Food Packaging

I'm obsessed with foreign food. I could literally eat my way through a country, the only thing stopping me being my wallet, or the size of the few articles of clothing in my suitcase. Which brings me to my dream to one day backpack through Europe and Asia and North and South America, but I have neither the time nor energy to get into that right now.

But its not just whats on the inside that counts. For some reason that I can't explain, I'm weirdly fascinated with food packaging across the globe. I love the creative colors and slogans and package designs and marketing methods, and the foreign languages sprawled on top of it all. I would kill for the opportunity to travel to Asia. But, for now, visiting Chinatown and buying weird, unknown candy in cutesy containers and packaging is my way of pretending.

I'm OCD about it. Like, I'll only buy the cutest stuff in the store, even if its something i KNOW i won't like. I open the food slowly and carefully, so as to not disturb the plastic encasing.

(ROME, ITALY)... so maybe a lot of these are american brands, but this street vendor arranged them so cutely I couldn't take it.

(ROME, ITALY)... love love love fruit markets. a great combination of cute packaging and tasty food.
(ROME, ITALY).... nutella is amazing. I'm not bothering with an excuse. If you don't understand, go buy some. No need to thank me.

(ROME, ITALY)... so maybe I need to include street vendors to this obsession? love dem

 I don't do goodbyes.
